I have used Rectify twice now and couldn't be happier with the results.

My first experience with them was back in 2024 to repair structural cracks in my garage wall, and the work held up so well that using them again recently for chemical underpinning was an easy choice. The outcomes so far have been fantastic.

A special thank you to Sam, the Area Manager. When he inspected my property last year, he gave honest, expert advice—recommending that I resolve some underlying drainage and plumbing issues first and let the ground settle for a year before proceeding with the rectification work. That level of integrity and long-term thinking really set them apart.

I’d also like to extend a big thank you to Toni, the Office Manager, for her incredible helpfulness and flexibility. When unforeseen circumstances came up on my end, she made rescheduling the works completely seamless and stress-free.

I highly recommend Aleisha and the team at Rectify Structural Engineering. Having previously dealt with engineers who seemed quick to recommend expensive concrete underpinning on other properties, I approached this inspection with some trepidation.

Aleisha quickly and confidently diagnosed that the movement was due to lifting rather than subsidence. She also made the astute observation that one tree in a row I had planted was growing significantly more vigorously than the others, suggesting a leaking stormwater drain at that location. She concluded that the issue was drainage-related and that underpinning was not required. A plumber subsequently confirmed the stormwater leak exactly as she had suspected.

It was refreshing to receive honest, evidence-based advice rather than being sold an unnecessary and costly solution. Aleisha is knowledgeable, professional and clearly acts in her clients’ best interests. I have already recommended her and Rectify Structural Engineering to family and friends and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again.

The Rectify team, led by Fred arrived this morning to correct a large crack in the brickwork above a window in my garage. The job was completed in a professional and timely way and a good result was achieved. I am highly disappointed with this company's lack of professionalism. After providing a formal quote, they attempted to increase the price five months later for the exact same job. When challenged, they refused to honor the original agreement and instead blamed a former employee who is no longer with the company. I would not recommend their services

They communicated very well with us as they did the job and happy for us to watch how things worked.
On completion they cleaned up well and walked us around the job explaining the final outcomes.

Most outfits in the underpinning racket show up ready to bleed you dry. They see a 40-year-old brick veneer in Wyndham Vale and start licking their chops. This area sits right on the Victorian Volcanic Plain, meaning the dirt under your feet is highly reactive basaltic clay. It’s nasty stuff. It shrinks and cracks like concrete in the summer, turns into a sticky, waterlogged swamp in the winter, and jacks houses up and down constantly. It is the perfect excuse for a salesman to pitch a five-figure structural fix you don't need.

Sam Hassan from Rectify Group isn't one of those sharks.

He came out, actually used his brain, and measured the movement across the whole layout. He gave it to me straight. Despite the volatile sodic clay, the hardwood frame and concrete stumps had barely budged in four decades. Just normal, predictable settling for the area.

Instead of a massive invoice, he gave me a practical DIY checklist to manage the moisture. Fix the surface drainage, clear the big trees sucking the dirt dry near the footings, and drop foaming root killer down the sewer lines. He told me to wait a year for the ground to find an equilibrium before doing anything drastic.

The guy literally talked himself out of an immediate payday because the house just didn't need it. In a world full of parasites, finding a straight shooter who values peace of mind over a quick buck is rare. Good fella. If the house ever actually does decide to sink into the clay, he’s the only one I’m calling.

I recently had resin injection done at my house and couldn't be happier with Rectify and the crew ..From their down to earth attitude starting with Johns onsite analysis to the professionals on site lead by Fred . I have 30 years experience on construction sites and concrete pumping and have seen first hand the antique underpinning of days gone by .Just the thought of removing the cobwebs from my shovel and digging under the footing made me sweat . I was astonished how small the incision holes were and the whole process eventuated..within a couple of hours the house went up , the cracks closed up ..even I went up 😅...Seriously a great system and a great company to deal with . I can’t rate Rectify highly enough. Sam who initially came to review our property, was very informative and would not take on our property until he knew we had made sure there was no underlying internal water leak issues. Some companies were just willing to resin inject regardless (money grabbing basically). The team featuring Fred and Josh did an amazing job in raising our properties slab back and closing all the internal and external cracks. They were diligent, professional and a joy to work with. A really nice bunch of guys. If you have had a similar thing happen to your property, where soil movement has caused havoc, then give Rectify a call for a free site visit quote (ask for Sam).

Great experience with Rectify. Initial discussion and inspection with Sam was a smooth experience. Sam was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive whenever I had any questions or follow up calls. Cannot begin to describe how amazing Sam is.
We needed to have some cracks checked out before purchasing a home and Sam was beyond accommodating. Whilst we didn't end up needing Rectify as previous work had been done, Sam kept in touch and helped me through it all. With constant advice, detailed explanations, after hours phone calls and never ending reassurance Sam is one in a million.
I never thought I would be disappointed to not need a company to do work on my home.

We had a really great experience with Rectify Group from start to finish.

From the initial inspection, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and very clear in explaining what was happening with our property. Fred took the time to walk us through the cause of the structural movement, the soil conditions, and why chemical underpinning / resin injection was the right solution for our home. Everything was explained clearly and honestly, which gave us a lot of confidence moving forward.

On the day of the works, the crew – Fred, Chris, and Ray – arrived on time, worked efficiently, and were very respectful of the property. The site was kept clean and organised throughout the day, and communication was excellent at every stage.

Watching the injection process was fascinating, especially seeing the floor lift in real time while levels were constantly checked and adjusted to suit the ground conditions. Despite some challenging soil conditions, the team adapted the process well and achieved a very solid result.

The outcome has been excellent. The floors are noticeably more level, doors are operating properly again, and the house feels much more stable overall. The team also took the time to explain the final result and answer any questions we had before wrapping up.

What stood out most was the professionalism and attention to detail from the entire crew. You can tell they take pride in their work and genuinely care about achieving a good outcome for the client.

I would happily recommend Rectify Group to anyone dealing with foundation movement or structural issues. Great workmanship, clear communication, and a very smooth process overall.

Sam Hassan from Rectify came to inspect a new crack in the front wall of my home. As a new homeowner, I was worried about being taken advantage of or quoted a huge amount without understanding the issue. But Sam was incredibly professional and genuine — he did a thorough inspection and, instead of jumping to a costly quote (like $7–8K), he took the time to explain why such cracks occur and how structural strengthening works in general.
His explanation was clear, insightful, and felt more like a lesson from an amazing teacher than a sales pitch. I walked away with a much better understanding of my home’s structure and what steps I can take to improve it over time — at my own pace and cost.
Thanks to Sam’s honest and informative approach, I feel confident about managing the issue for now, and if it worsens, I’ll 100% be calling Rectify again. It's rare to find such trustworthy professionals in this space. Highly recommend!

Go elsewhere.

We trusted Rectify with a $12k underpinning/rectification job and were left extremely disappointed. What should have been a professional repair turned into a series of issues, including further visible damage to our walls, a gas pipe being hit, our garden being dug up, and no meaningful visible lift or closure of the cracks/gaps we were told would be improved.

For 8 months we repeatedly asked for clear, tangible data showing what was actually achieved, despite Rectify claiming this information would be provided if requested. We received very little until we escalated.

Their position has also changed over time. Before proceeding, we were told in writing the works would “lift and improve” the cracks and gaps. Now Rectify says the job was only about stabilisation and refuses to take ownership of the poor outcome.

They also offered a $100 gift card in relation to our review, which we felt was inappropriate given the seriousness of the situation.

We are now proceeding with a formal complaint through DBDRV, with VCAT to follow if this is not resolved fairly. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Rectify.

Very professional and switched on. We had just purchased a property that had some cracks in the brickwork and we were hoping that underpinning would address the problems. Joshua and Phil inspected our place and were extremely thorough and explained in detail each issue. It turned out that we didn’t actually need underpinning and there were some fundamental issues with how the house was built and these were relatively easy to rectify. These issues were even missed by the building inspector and in hindsight were very obvious once pointed out. I would definitely recommend using these guys

I didn't end up doing the job using their help, as they were very honest in the first inspection and advised me the issue with my building was not that serious that would worth paying 20 grands! This is while a previous company in the market came and scared me and gave me a 35,000 quote. I do appreciate Rectify's honest and technical opinion.

Phil & Sam the santas, words can not express how much grateful I am to you for the inspection that you managed to do for me this time of the year. The wait worths my house. Your knowledge, service, honesty and integrity are second to none. Took an hour to measure and look into every corner of my house, floor, ceiling, doors, windows, ground, bricks and told me I just needed to get a plumber to fix the stormwater drainage, concrete work, apply your maintenance advice and monitor. And you left without quoting for your service. You're too rare to be seen in this world or I just had a wonderful dream after lots of nightmares. Everyone on the team, from the first phone call, the inspection, the preparation and the undertaking of the underpinning, could not have been more helpful and informative. The onsite inspection, which included details of the work required, was explained in detail and the proposed works fully explained.
The time from inspection to undertaking the underpinning was quite short, and we are extremely happy with the results.

Rectify will be your best choice if your property has any cracks need to be fixed. Josh came to quote our job on this windy day. He explained anything after checking the level. From my first meeting with Phil I felt assured that he knew exactly what he was talking about and he made the stressful situation we were going through so much easier. Rectify was really prompt with their service, did a great job explaining the details of the problem, the work involved, and the process to correct it. The resin injection process is very precise and can be targetted with great accuracy. The work itself didn't take long at all and the turn around time was great; having the work done about a week after agreeing to the quote. Highly recommend.
